Serious hat tip and gratitude to the incomparable Kris Delmhorst, whose song sparked this little piece of flash. That song — the title song of her latest amazing album, “Ghosts in the Garden” — is sweet and moving and wistful and not at all serial-killer-adjacent. I’m not sure how she might feel about the story that her song inspired, so help me make it up to her by listening to the song (on repeat, if you’re me) and even better getting yourself a copy of the whole dang album. Actually, just go for her entire catalogue while you’re at it. You will not regret it.
